![]() ![]() For 7 years almost every night I was raped. After the first year it was amazing then my adopted dad decided to drink and use me for his own pleasure. I had lice, holes in all my clothing, I was skinny to the bone. During those year before I did I prayed asking him to make sure I get taken care of. Even though I was put in foster care after so many I finally got adopted by my uncle and aunt. I always say, even though my biological mother couldn’t take care of me because she was bipolar and had a addiction to alcohol. I always get asked why do I still believe in god after he let me go through what I went through. I give God all the glory, honor, and praise for everything he's done in my life and through me. I hope this testimony serves as some form of encouragement for someone out there who needs that hope. ![]() I travel to schools, churches, and prisons and share my story with ppl to give them a hope in Jesus Christ and his mercy. I've never been married and no kids but at 34 years old I still would like to think I have time. I play guitar and sing, I have a diploma, I speak 3 languages, i can read n write music, and play any instrument with strings. Today I have my own car, house, just got my preaching license and have been ordained for full time ministry. I got saved and baptized and began ministry in music. I felt a peace cone over me and God whispered to me in that cell, you're not an orphan, you're my son, and I have a plan for u. While I was in jail my brother came to visit to deliver me the news my best friend and Christian sister shot and killed herself and I'd never see her again. My mom burned to death in a house fire leaving me and my 2 brothers alone with our dad. Its not about believing in RELIGION, its about believing that His death on the cross is enough to cover all the sins ever committed past present and future and then building relationship with HIM of that belief. Allow me to apologize for that, if you will. Whatever someone did to you, I'm sorry it happened to you. Point is, when Christians do messed up stuff, the Word convicts us because not only do we know better as human beings, but add the conviction of scripture that people may know or maybe having read it reminds them of what they did and, if sincere will change them. Sorry to sound like im preaching, i dont mean to, im just good at remembering scriptures. And lastly, ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. ![]() And, Romans chapter 2 talks about when we see things in others we dont like, we can only recognize it because we have also done it. Romans chapter 7 and 8, if youre up for it. Christianity is a PERSONAL relationship with Christ and Church is just where people with a personal relationship with Christ get together and worship and learn. Dont let other people's tendency to wrong others make you feel as if He isnt FOR you. So, I wouldnt blame Christianity for people's mistakes, I''d blame human nature. Church is literally made up of people who admit that they are totally screwed up and lost without Him. The way I look at it is, people are seriously screwed up. I think people, not just christians, or people who claim any belief, need to realize more that people are gonna make mistakes, and that we need to, as the person who was wronged, forgive as soon as possible and that IS in the Bible, but its good advice regardless. The exact feeling you describe caused me to get away from church and God and my life got SERIOUSLY screwed up, trust me.Īnd then 4 or 5 years ago I started going back. ![]() Honestly, I had my dad taking me to church as a kid and hated it because I didnt like the people at all. Be strong and of a good courage be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” What a beautiful reminder that God is always with us and gives us the strength to carry on. “When I’m at my weakest, I will trust in Jesus Now, these talented Christians are singing all about His amazing grace with ‘God Is In This Story.’ Katy burst onto the scene with her viral single ‘In Jesus Name (God of Possible).’ Inspired by her battle with scoliosis and God’s miraculous healing, the song quickly reached over 80 million views on social media.
